On November 8, 2007 (the "Petition Date"), PLVTZ, Inc., f/k/a Levitz Furniture (the "Debtor") filed a voluntary petition in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York seeking relief under the provisions of Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code.
Pursuant to an Order of the Bankruptcy Court, dated March 18 2008, the GUC Trust was established for the benefit of the Debtor's general unsecured creditors. Anthony Labrosciano was subsequently named Trustee of the GUC Trust and on October 27, 2008, the Debtor's case was converted to Chapter 7.
Pursuant to an Order, dated May 13, 2011, the Bankruptcy Court set June 24, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. (prevailing Eastern Time) as the deadline for the filing of Proofs of Claim based on general unsecured non-priority claims. A copy of this Order may be viewed by clicking here.
