On May 17, 2012 (the "Petition Date"), involuntary chapter 11 bankruptcy petitions were filed against Allied Systems Holdings, Inc. and Allied Systems, Ltd. (L.P.) (collectively, “Allied”) in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. On June 10, 2012, seventeen of Allied’s subsidiaries/related entities (collectively with Allied, the "Debtors") filed voluntary petitions in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware seeking relief under the provisions of Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. On June 11, 2012, the Bankruptcy Court entered orders for relief, effectively converting the involuntary chapter 11 cases of Allied Systems Holdings, Inc. and Allied Systems, Ltd. (L.P.) to voluntary chapter 11 proceedings. The Debtors continue to operate their businesses and manage their properties as debtors-in-possession. This website was created to assist the Debtors in providing access to information for creditors, as well as to solicit and receive comments from such creditors.
Allied’s Chapter 11 proceedings have been recognized in Canada by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (“Ontario Court”) pursuant to Part IV of the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act. The Ontario Court has, among other things, appointed Duff & Phelps Canada Restructuring Inc. as Information Officer with respect to the Canadian proceedings.
